AU VS WVU
Please note that the Auburn @ West Virginia game has been moved to Thursday, October 23rd. The ticket office can not promise me any tickets. We need about 70 tickets, so if you want tickets, start looking for them. From what I understand, only scholarship donors are getting to order tickets - most season ticket holders are being shut out. Please try to find scholarship donor season ticket holders that you know that are not interested in going to the game. Get them to buy us tickets. We will put them to good use. If you work for any companies that have season tickets to WVU football, ask them. I'll provide more information as I get it. We may have to rely on scalpers at this point, but ticket or no ticket - I'm going to this game.

Auburn linebackers coach James Willis will be the featured speaker at our annual meeting on Friday, June 27th. He played for Auburn in the early 90's and was the starting middle linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles in the mid-late 90's. The meeting will be held at the Field
House at 12th and Filbert, the site of the former Independence Brew Pub
in Center City. They are reserving the upstairs lounge for us from 5:30
PM until 8 PM. This will be a very casual and informal event with
speeches closer to 7:00 or so, so don't worry if you can't get
there exactly at 5:30. We will have some old Auburn football games on
the TV, Coach Willis will be available for autographs, and a
representative of the Auburn Alumni Association will be talking to us as
well. I'm working on getting some food and drink specials for us. If
you haven't noticed, this will be our first annual meeting, so I'd like
to have a good crowd. This is your chance to talk to some Auburn folks
face to face, so don't miss this great opportunity!! Please RSVP to me
if you are planning to attend!
SEC HAPPY HOUR
The next SEC happy hours is in the works. It's on Thursday, June 26th
at the Urban Saloon from about 5PM to 8PM. They are located at 2120
Fairmount Ave. in Philadelphia, which is in the art museum area directly
across from Eastern State Penitentiary. It's a good opportunity to see
some other Auburn alumni as well as other SEC clubs in the area. One of
the owners went to the University of North Alabama, so it's almost like
taking a vacation back home! I'll provide more information on specials
in my next email, but it includes $2 domestic beer and $3 craft and
import beer. Please let me know if you would like more information.
